Desirable characteristics for students and people in this area

One needs to have a liking for outdoor work, good stamina and a willingness to be able cope with all weather conditions. Persons with some allergic conditions may not be suitable to participate in this area. Science subjects are required to gain entry to some of the courses. Passing an approved medical fitness and eyesight tests are required for entry to the maritime courses.
