Congratulations to all students on their Leaving Cert results and as they receive their CAO offers.
If one is unhappy with one’s results, apply to view scripts, which can be done from 5.00pm on Tues 29th Aug. This facility closes on Wed 30th Aug at 8.00pm. Written exam scripts can be viewed in the school on Sat 2nd Sept. The scripts can also be viewed online on this date. There is no charge for viewing scripts.
If one wishes to apply for a recheck, apply between Sun 3rd Sept with a closing time of up to 5:00pm on Mon 4th Sept. The charge to recheck papers is €40.00 per subject. If the appeal is successful, the charge is refunded.
If one receives an improved grade, a new CAO offer may be made at a later stage.
Remember when appealing papers, one can also be downgraded.

CAO Round 1 offers made available.
Thurs 31st Aug
Available or vacant college places open on CAO website at 12 noon. Check available places at www.cao.ie.
Tues 5th Sept
Acceptance of CAO Round 1 closes at 3:00pm. Ensure that course research is fully undertaken before accepting offer. If a student wishes to defer a college offer, they must contact the college involved directly.
Mon 11th Sept
CAO Round 2 offers available from 10:00am.
Tues 19th Sept
CAO Round 3 offers.
Tues 26th Sept
CAO Round 4 offers.
Tues 3rd Oct
CAO Round 5 offers.
The release of Appeal Results date is yet to be confirmed.
Decisions after Leaving Cert Results
Depending on results, students may decide to repeat the Leaving Cert or a subject to meet subject, college or course entry requirements.
Students can still make application to Post Leaving Cert and Further Education Colleges by contacting various ETB colleges directly. See www.etbcolleges.ie for further information.
Students can also apply this year for the new Tertiary Courses. These courses have entry requirements similar to Post Leaving Cert courses, and if given a place on one of these programmes, there is guaranteed access to the follow-on degree programmes, provided students pass their exams. Application and full details available at the National Tertiary Office www.nto.ie.
