Leaving Cert Results and CAO Offers 2019

Leaving Cert Results and CAO Offers 2019

Best of luck to all students as they receive their 2019 Leaving Cert results on Tuesday 13th August 2019.

Issues to be considered

1. View scripts. This is generally a good idea, as it allows students to see how they performed at the exam and how the marks were awarded. It also gives a good indicator whether to apply later to have scripts re-examined. The SEC will provide two viewings of scripts this year, in schools for subjects marked on paper, and online for subjects marked online. Applications for both must be made online through the Self-Service Portal by 5.00pm on Friday 16th August. Please Note: In order to put this procedure in place, you must register on the Self-Service Portal by inserting your Exam and Pin number. This can be completed before 13th August.

2. Repeat Leaving Cert or repeat a subject to meet entry requirements.

3. Be aware that some colleges, including CIT allow students to re-sit the mathematics exam, where it is necessary for entry to the college. Some other colleges, such as WIT, UL and NUIG offer this facility for some of their courses. Check college websites for details.

4. Students can still submit late application for Student Grants by contacting SUSI (Student Universal Support Ireland). Check website www.susi.ie or telephone 0761 08 7874.
