- Helpline staffed by Guidance Counsellors available at 1800 265 165 from 2.00pm to 8.00pm 2nd – 14th September
Fri 2nd Sept – Results published at 10.00am on student self-service portal.
While this can be an anxious time for students as they wait until Thursday 8th Sept for CAO course offers, it is important to remember that other decisions can be also be taken into consideration at this time.
Choices after Leaving Cert Results
Depending on results, students may decide to repeat the Leaving Cert or a subject to meet subject/college or course entry requirements.
Students can still make application to Post Leaving Cert/Further Education Colleges by contacting various ETB colleges directly. See – www.etbcolleges.ie
The various Apprenticeship Programmes can be viewed at – www.apprenticeship.ie
Other Training Programmes are available at:
Teagasc (The Agriculture and Food Authority) – www.teagasc.ie
BIM (The Irish Sea Fishing & Aquaculture Industries) – www.bim.ie
The Defence Forces (Training for Army, Navy and Air Force) – www.military.ie
Other students may consider going into employment.

If a student intends to be away from home for their studies, then checking available accommodation, costs and travel involved should be undertaken.

Tues 6th Sept – Application to review scripts opens at 5.00pm
Wed 7th Sept – Application to review scripts closes at 8.00pm
Thurs 8th Sept – CAO Round 1 offers available from 2.00pm – www.cao.ie
Fri 9th Sept – Available and vacant college places opens on CAO website at 12 noon Check available places at www.cao.ie
Sat 10th Sept – Written scripts viewing sessions available in schools
Sat 10th Sept – Appeal exam results opens from today until Mon 12th Sept. at 12 noon
Wed 14th Sept – Acceptance of CAO Round 1 closes at 3.00pm (If a student wishes to defer a college offer, he/she must contact the college involved directly)
Mon 19th Sept – CAO Round 2 offers available from 10.00am
Wed 21st Sept – Acceptance of CAO Round 2 closes at 3.00pm
Mon 27th Sept – CAO Round 3 offers
Tues 4th Oct – CAO Round 4 offers
Tues 11th Oct – CAO Round 5 offers
Mid Oct – Release of Appeal Results
